Application Process & Requirements
2025 Scholarship Application

In promoting our organization's goal of Academic Excellence, Phi Alpha Alumnae Chapter has created an academic scholarship to help minimize the cost of school so that the academic goal of young women can become a reality. By providing financial assistance of two for continuing college students, we hope that recipients, and all applicants alike continue in their pursuit of professional growth, and serve as role models for the advancement among all women.

MUJERES AVANZANDO POR EDUCACIÓN SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be considered for the Mujeres Avanzando por Educacíon Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
 

Scholarship 1: Undergraduate

1. A current undergraduate student enrolled full-time at a four-year university or two-year accredited college for Fall of 2025

2. A current active sister of Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority Inc.

3. Have a 2.5 GPA

 

Scholarship 2: Graduate Student

1. A current graduate student enrolled at an accredited university for the Fall of 2025

2. Have a 2.5 GPA (current grad school transcript or undergrad transcripts)



Application Materials

In addition to fulfilling the previous requirements, a complete application must include the following materials:

 

We highly encourage you to create a checklist of these required items to fill out the application in one full sitting. Check the naming of your documents and the formatting, as there are noted requests.

1. A completed online application
2. An essay (300 - 500 words).

3. Official College Transcript with G.P.A. 
4. One Letter of Recommendation: Applicant must submit one letter from an individual who has known them in a professional setting, e.g., counselor, employer, pastor/priest, professor, academic advisor, coach, etc. (PDF Format). The letter should provide a detailed assessment of the applicant's skills, knowledge, and dedication to education and/or service.

5. Resume: Applicants must submit a one-page resume of their work experience, academic accomplishments, volunteer experience, and other relevant activities.

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION BY May 31, 2025.

FAILURE TO SUBMIT ANY DOCUMENTS BY DEADLINE WILL BE COUNTED AS AN INCOMPLETE SCHOLARSHIP AND WILL RESULT IN OPTING OUT OF CONSIDERATION.
